Throughout the seventy letters to her friend Ada Elise Locke, American writer Lucy Larcom (1824-1893) discusses her work, love of nature, and Christian beliefs. Glass-plate and film negatives of Boston-area historical and architectural landmarks taken by Abdalian, a Boston based freelance commercial photographer from 1913-1960. The exhibition features small-scale works on paper as well as floor-to-ceiling vinyl panels and decals that the artist has designed—transforming the gallery into the interior of an ideal, modern home.

The Glass Journey: An exploration of narrative and symbol; contemporary glass by Kirsteen Aubrey Kirsteen Aubrey is a contemporary glass artist and lecturer at MMU who is known for beautiful and evocative forms and landscapes in cast and blown glass. Books, journals, pamphlets, timetables, photographs and more than 13,000 postcards of streetcar and rail transportation. The library has approximately 525 titles in this category. When complete, the Colonial North American Project will make available to the world digitized images of the archival and manuscript materials in the Harvard Library that relate to 17th and 18th century North America.

In 1986, Floyd and Josephine Segel donated over 300 exceptional works by master photographers including Diane Arbus, Eugène Atget, Bill Brandt, Brassaï, Henri Cartier-Bresson, Lee Friedlander, Robert Mapplethorpe, Irving Penn, August Sander, and Garry Winogrand. On display were examples of goods that could be ordered from Sears and Roebuck and Montgomery Ward catalogs in the late 19th and early 20th century including musical instruments, medical cure-alls, and an "invalid chair."
